My approach to supervision is warm, collaborative and grounded in curiosity rather than judgement. I believe supervision should be a place where you can think out loud, explore uncertainty, celebrate successes and feel safe enough to bring the sessions that didn't go quite as you had hoped.
Rooted in person-centred values and informed by the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision (Hawkins & Shohet), I offer a reflective space to explore client work, the therapeutic relationship, ethical dilemmas, your own internal responses and the wider systems influencing practice. I am also trained in Trauma-Informed Practice (RVT).
My background spans primary and secondary school counselling alongside private practice with adults, giving me experience across a broad range of ages, presentations and therapeutic settings.
Whether you're a trainee, newly qualified or an experienced practitioner, I offer a supportive supervisory relationship where curiosity, constructive challenge and professional growth can flourish.
I offer clinical supervision to trainee and qualified counsellors working with adults, children and young people in private practice or organisational settings.
Sessions are available online and face-to-face from my private practice in North Luffenham, Rutland.
Supervision is tailored to your individual needs and stage of professional development. Together we may explore case discussion, ethical decision-making, safeguarding, risk assessment, reflective practice, professional resilience and the wider systems that influence therapeutic work.
My aim is to create a space where curiosity is encouraged, learning is continuous and you feel supported to develop your own authentic therapeutic style.
I offer a free 20–30 minute introductory telephone or Zoom call before arranging our first supervision session.
This gives us both the opportunity to discuss what you're looking for, answer any questions and decide whether we feel we'd work well together before making a commitment.
Life is a journey and it's an all-inclusive deal; there'll be good bits but there will be challenges and how you face such challenges will influence how you are coping with the day to day.
